Job summary

HOPE Program and New Beginnings seeks a Clinical Director to lead clinical operations, mentor clinicians, and shape services for clients. This role blends clinical practice with leadership to strengthen teams and outcomes.

You will supervise teams, oversee quality, and partner with leaders to drive program development. This on-site leadership position emphasizes ethical, trauma-informed care and collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current California clinical license through the BBS or Board of Psychology (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, Ph.D., or Psy.D.).
• At least 8 years of clinical experience.
• At least 6 years of clinical leadership, administrative, or management experience.
• Experience providing clinical supervision or eligibility to provide board-level supervision.
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to support clinicians working with complex clients and situations.
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities.
• Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidence-based treatment approaches.
• A commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, and client-centered care.
• The ability to work independently while also being an effective member of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Lead Clinical Services: Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and direction for assigned programs and teams.
• Develop People: Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and guidance to licensed and pre-licensed clinicians, trainees, and students.
• Improve Programs: Identify opportunities to strengthen clinical programs and services and monitor quality.
• Build Relationships: Develop positive relationships with referral sources and community partners.
• A hands-on leadership role with 40% Direct Clinical Contact.
• Contribute to program development, expansion, and quality improvement initiatives.
