Location/Program: High Point New Bedford
Education/Licensure: Masters Degree in Behavioral Health Field, Independent License (LMFT, LICSW, LMHC) required
Pay Range: $95,680
Status: Salaried - Full Time
Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 1 evening shift from 1-930pm

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Clinical Director Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement goals and objectives for the CBHC program to meet performance specifications
  2. Implement and review policies and procedures on a regular basis
  3. Ensure oversight of CBHC performance specifications related to management of clinical staff hiring and scheduling
  4. Monitor the adequacy and appropriateness of patient (member) care
  5. Develop in-service training for staff in collaboration with training coordinators
  6. Establish a quality management program in collaboration with the Director of CQI and quality team
  7. Ensure that clinical activities are carried out in accordance with HPTC's written plans for quality assurance, utilization review/management, and staff growth and development
  8. Provide supervision to program staff and maintain supervisory notes
  9. Provide direct services to patients, including evaluations, individual, group and/or family counseling, crisis management, and aftercare planning
  10. Monitor CBHC budget, payment models, and productivity of clinical staff
  11. Participate on assigned committees and prepare reports as needed
  12. Coordinate with other departments/facilities to enhance and ensure quality care
  13. Participate in budget development and monthly review process
  14. Routinely review patient charts (open and closed) to ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards
  15. Advertise, interview, hire, and train all new clinical and support staff
  16. Participate in RFR processes to maintain current programming and develop new programming
  17. Prepare reports and correspondence in response to licensing and accreditation boards
  18. Collaborate and participate in meetings with other community organizations to enhance communication and service delivery
  19. Provide ongoing clinical and daily administration of the Outpatient Program to ensure quality care
  20. Ensure confidentiality according to 42 CFR part 2 and HIPAA regulations
  21. Other duties as assigned by the CBHC Site Director and/or COO
Clinical Director Requirements
  1. Must present as courteous and professional at all times
  2. Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks
  3. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas logically and clearly
  4. Ability to work with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner
  5. TB screening
  6. Certification in the HPAO approved de-escalation program
  7. Strong and effective verbal, written, and organizational skills
  8. Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs, including the ability to learn, use, and train on HPAO's electronic medical records
  9. Ability to provide leadership and program development within an outpatient site
  10. Knowledge of major clinical therapeutic models and behavioral health best practices
Clinical Director Qualifications
  1. Independently licensed Behavioral Health Clinician, including: LICSW/LMHC/LMFT
  2. Master's/Doctoral degree in Human Services related field such as psychology or social work
  3. Minimum of three (3) years of clinical supervisory experience and five (5) years of behavioral health counseling experience.
