Job description

Director, Clinical Programs (Clinical Improvement, Access Team) - REMOTE


This Director will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our comprehensive access management program across DaVita Kidney Care (DKC). This includes permanent access placement, CVC removal, ongoing maintenance of permanent access, and supporting access transitions.


Key areas of focus:


  • Rolling out new training, clinical pathways/protocols
  • Providing leadership and execution on pay-for-performance contracts
  • Identifying future opportunities supporting our multi-year vision and roadmap

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Leading and supervising teams
  • Collaborating with OCMO leadership, CE teammates, and field teams to refine the access management roadmap
  • Leading pilots and nationwide initiative rollouts
  • Building on the clinical vision to identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and build business cases for initiatives to achieve goals
  • Applying strong problem-solving skills to develop detailed plans and coordinate execution for complex issues
  • Leading pilots, defining key goals and metrics, and assessing performance for scaling success
  • Partnering with Integrated Kidney Care (IKC) teams and the Home team to ensure alignment in workflows, electronic medical records, and reporting
  • Organizing and delivering executive, management, and frontline performance reports and communications
  • Identifying new opportunities with vendors to implement clinical and risk adjustment initiatives, and managing vendor contracts as needed

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred
  • Prior experience leading a team
  • At least 5 years of experience in healthcare, preferably with dialysis experience, analytics, data analysis, problem solving, and strategy development
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
