Job summary

Regency at Waterford is seeking a Dietitian/Nutrition Manager to oversee the dietary department, supervise staff, and ensure residents’ nutritional needs are met per physician orders and regulatory standards.

You will manage menu planning, food procurement, and documentation while coordinating with nursing and therapy teams to support resident care plans. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field required.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Dietician in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting preferred.
• One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MDS, care planning, and clinical documentation standards.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing dietary and nutritional services.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the dietary department and provides supervision to dietary staff to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met according to standards and regulations.
• Participates in department head meetings, Resident at Risk meetings, and interdisciplinary care plan meetings.
• Oversees food and supply purchases within budget and maintains adequate meal coverage.
• Guides diet planning, menu formulation, preparation, and service of regular and therapeutic diets.
• Ensures menus meet nutritional needs, physician orders, and regulatory guidelines.
• Interviews residents or family members to obtain diet history and records food preferences.
• Monitors weights with nursing staff to make appropriate recommendations.
• Ensures sanitation rounds and compliance with safety, infection control, and QA standards.
