Hourly Pay Rate: $41.68 – $53.28

Bi-Weekly Hours: 75 Hours

Job Summary:

Clinical Dietitians at Baycrest provide services to clients in the Baycrest Hospital. Working with the interprofessional team, Clinical Dietitians provide monitoring, assessment, and follow up for our geriatric population, according to the medical status and nutritional needs of each client, with the goal of optimizing nutritional status and quality of life.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform and document nutrition assessments.
  • Plan, monitor, and implement nutrition interventions.
  • Update client nutritional care plans and attending client care conferences.
  • Provide nutritional education and counselling to clients, families, and staff.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Current member of College of Dietitians of Ontario, in good standing.
  • Experience working in a Complex Continuing Care Hospital Setting preferred.
  • Experience in providing enteral nutrition required.
  • Experience working as a member of an interprofessional team required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office Software (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
  • Meditech, as well as specialized nutrition related software knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients, families and members of the interprofessional team.
  • Knowledge of or an interest in research.
