Zing Recruiting is seeking a dedicated Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) specializing in Neurology to play a pivotal role in translating our Neurology strategy into actionable insights for clinicians and laboratory stakeholders. This is a field-based position, primarily remote, covering regions including the Southeast, Southwest, Midwest, and Northeast.
Key Responsibilities
Educational Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on medical and scientific advancements in neurology relevant to our products.
- Educate clinicians and laboratorians on disease states and our neurology offerings, focusing on Alzheimer's blood-based biomarkers.
- Promote awareness of the Alzheimer's Disease pathway, emphasizing early diagnosis and biomarkers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address inquiries regarding Elecsys neurology products.
- Prepare and present educational materials tailored to diverse audiences.
- Provide balanced clinical and scientific information in response to unsolicited requests.
- Support product launches through effective HCP education.
Engagement Responsibilities
- Cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and local healthcare providers, ensuring they are well-informed about our products and pipeline.
- Develop and execute territory plans that align with regional and global Medical Affairs strategies.
- Provide insights on emerging scientific data to enhance the value of our products.
- Assist in planning and executing scientific events, including symposia and webinars.
- Attend local and regional conferences to engage with KOLs and community physicians.
- Collaborate with the IMT team to review and synthesize customer insights and disease area trends.
Qualifications- Education: Advanced scientific or medical degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, MSN, BSN) with 3-5 years of relevant clinical/practice/industry experience. Significant industry experience may substitute for formal education.
- Experience:
- Preferred: 1+ years of MSL experience in diagnostics or pharmaceutical industries.
- Basic understanding of Neurology; experience with Alzheimer's Disease diagnostics is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Excellent communication skills and strong ethical values.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a matrixed organization.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate within the assigned territory.
Additional Information
- This is a home-based/remote position.
- The candidate must be proactive in engaging with customers and attending key conferences/meetings as required.
