Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV is seeking a registered dietitian to plan and deliver nutritional care as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will supervise diet clerks and support staff under the Nutritional Services Director’s guidance.

Responsibilities include assessing patients’ nutritional status, developing culturally appropriate care plans, and evaluating intervention outcomes to revise plans as needed, ensuring high-quality clinical care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree approved by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (AND) with completion of a dietetic internship and eligibility to take the national examination for registered dietitian
• NV Dietitian licensure or within 1 year with Provisional RD License in place
• Proof of current CDR registration within 1 year

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients’ nutritional status according to established standards
• Obtains necessary information from the medical record to determine patient’s nutritional status
• Develops nutritional care plans based on the cultural orientation of the patient
• Evaluates the results of nutritional intervention on the patient’s nutritional status to determine the need to revise the nutritional care plan

Education

AND-approved Bachelor's degree with dietetic internship and eligibility to take the national RD exam

NV Dietitian licensure or provisional RD within 1 year

CDR registration within 1 year
