Northern Nevada Health System is seeking a per diem Dietary Aide in Sparks to support patient meals and dietary services. You will work under the supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Director, performing a variety of patient food service and dish duties in a hospital setting.

The role emphasizes food safety, accurate tray preparation, and adherence to diet orders, with opportunities for professional growth within UHS and its subsidiaries.

Competenze

• High school graduate or equivalent, preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Foodservice experience, or equivalent nutrition preferred.

This Dietary Aide opportunity is per diem and a convenient schedule. This position is for our Northern Nevada Medical Hospital in Reno. Under the direct supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Director, Supervisor, or Lead, the Diet Aide performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items and patient meal trays accurately based on diet order, approved recipes and patient meal tickets
• Uses proper techniques to ensure food safety. Techniques include, but not limited to: hand hygiene, glove use, temperature monitoring/control, cleaning and sanitizing
• Follows procedures for stocking trayline, prep areas and nourishment rooms.
