Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team at John J Kane Regional Center - Scott in Pittsburgh. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and enhance quality of life aligned with residents’ goals.

You’ll work with the care team to ensure regulatory compliance, develop procedures, and contribute to continuous quality improvement within a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Passed the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
