Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Dietitian (Clinical) to provide Nutrition Therapy for Veterans in a healthcare setting. The role requires an RDN, NCP proficiency, and collaboration with the care team.

The Dietitian will develop MNT, document outcomes in the medical record, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings to ensure high quality patient care. Intermittent shifts ensure flexibility within the Clinical Section of Nutrition & Food Service.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen and proficient in English.
• Must hold the RDN credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Experience with NCP and developing Medical Nutrition Therapy.
• KSAs demonstrated in patient care, data analysis, and collaboration.
• Pre-employment physical evaluation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments using the Nutrition Care Process.
• Develop and implement Medical Nutrition Therapy and monitor outcomes.
• Document MNT in the medical record using the ADIME format.
• Collaborate with health care team and Food Service to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate daily clinical records and complete patient encounters.
