Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, OH is seeking a Part-time Dietitian to provide medical nutrition therapy across OBGYN and Women's Health settings. This 24-hour per week role supports patient care, nutrition education, and care coordination with the healthcare team.

The position requires a Master’s ACEND-accredited degree or a Bachelor’s degree with registration eligibility, plus a 1200-hour internship and an active RDN credential. Ohio licensure is required, with 1–2 years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an ACEND accredited program.
• Successful completion of a 1200 hour dietetic internship.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
• Licensed Dietitian (LD) by the Ohio Medical Board.
• 1–2 years of position related experience.
• Ability to operate a computer.
• Ability to effectively interact with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the health care team to provide medical nutrition therapy.
• Identifies patients at high nutritional risk, assesses needs and nutrient requirements.
• Develops and implements the nutrition care plan for all assigned patients.
• Continuously evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of nutrition interventions.
• Provides nutrition education to patient and family members.
• Fosters continuity of care and participates in performance improvement activities.
