Job summary

NKC Health is seeking a Dietitian to deliver medical nutrition therapy under the supervision of the Coordinator, Clinical Nutrition. Responsibilities include nutrition assessments, determining supplement needs, and providing nutrition education for lifestyle changes.

The role supports patient nutrition status and requires compliance with Missouri licensure. Preferred experience includes 2-3 years in hospital medical nutrition therapy and/or outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of hospital medical nutrition therapy and/or outpatient medical nutrition therapy experience.
• Licensed Dietitian in Missouri
• Masters degree required for eligibility after Jan 1, 2024; Bachelor's degree acceptable for RD eligibility established on/before Dec 31, 2023.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients to achieve adequate nutrition status.
• Conduct nutritional assessments to determine need for supplements or nutrition support.
• Provide nutrition education to support diet modifications and lifestyle changes.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by Coordinator, Clinical Nutrition.

Summary

SUMMARY:Under the direct supervision of the Coordinator, Clinical Nutrition provides medical nutrition therapy for patients to help achieve adequate nutritional status. This may include, but is not limited to, nutritional assessments to determine need for nutritional supplements or nutrition support andnutrition education to help achieve lifestyle changes/diet modifications. The Dietitian is also accountable for completing other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: Prefer 2-3 years of experience in hospital medical nutrition therapy and/or outpatient medical nutrition therapy.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: Dietitian - State of Missouri

EDUCATION:

• Required: Masters - Dietetics, Masters - Nutrition.A master's degree is required for those establishing eligibility on or after January 1, 2024.
• A bachelor's degree is acceptable for registered dietitians and individuals who established CDR exam eligibility on or before December 31, 2023.
