This role involves establishing standards for medical nutrition therapy, delivering direct patient care, and setting methodologies for staff and patients.

Qualifications

We Require

  • Bachelor's degree and Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) status from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Washington State Certification
  • Specialty board certifications as needed
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, and behavioral sciences
  • Understanding of therapeutic nutrition
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation in food science
  • Counseling, negotiation, collaboration skills, and strong math skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Master's Degree preferred; 2 years of acute care hospital experience or an advanced degree with relevant experience
