Base pay range

$47,361.60/hr - $77,126.40/hr

Role Overview

Great opportunity for a Clinical Dietitian to work in the Cardiac Wellness department at Barnes Jewish Hospital! Responsibilities include facilitating group education classes for cardiac patients, providing 1:1 patient education, managing patient schedules, participating in/leading cooking school education, and educating patients on the Pritikin eating plan.

Preferred Qualifications and Role Purpose

The registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) works within an interprofessional team to provide medical nutrition therapy, conduct assessments, interventions, education, discharge planning, and care coordination for acute or chronic conditions. This is an entry-level position focused on meeting basic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Identify nutrition-related problems, determine diagnoses, prioritize interventions, and document care plans including diet orders and patient education.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure understanding of nutrition support therapy and evaluate its impact.
• Review current research and evidence for application to practice.
• Share evidence-based knowledge tailored to patients, colleagues, and the public.
• Optimize workflow patterns to improve patient care outcomes.
• This is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.

Minimum Requirements

• Master's Degree
• No prior experience required
• License: Dietitian License for State Employment, Registered Dietitian certification

Preferred Experience

At least 2 years of experience preferred.
