JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Specialist will work with the Regional Sales Director and Territory Manager within a defined geographic area to meet existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care. They will discuss and demonstrate how the company’s interventional products can help achieve these goals and meet patient/client needs. By providing case coverage, the Clinical Specialist will contribute to achieving sales goals, company objectives, and increasing sales revenue. Responsibilities are listed in order of importance, and the incumbent may perform other related activities as needed.
Collaborate with the Territory Manager to provide case coverage and ensure positive clinical outcomes for patients.
Serve as the primary clinical resource for support in coverage, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company products.
Inform customers about the latest product, therapy, and technology developments by engaging in procedural and technical discussions.
Link clinical data to key messaging effectively.
Meet with customers to identify clinical needs and provide solutions using company products.
Communicate account information to the local territory manager daily.
Share insights on competitors and account issues with the team.
Educate customers on the proper clinical use of products.
Oversee local education and training activities, including program coordination and staff education.
Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and staff.
Support monitoring of product inventory levels.
Conduct responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and laws, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and employee development.
Education: BA/BS or equivalent preferred. Medical training (RT, RCIS, Surgical tech, RN, NP, or first assistant) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in the medical device industry, with strong clinical orientation and experience in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, vascular, or cardiac surgery.
Proficiency in interpersonal skills, clinical support, communication, analytical skills, and knowledge of the medical device market. Experience in vascular closure and providing clinical education is preferred. Knowledge of MS Office is required.
The role requires physical activity including standing, walking, reaching, and exposure to blood. Travel expectations are approximately 25%.
