Job summary

Qualifications

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Non-credentialed Dietitians may be considered for a temporary appointment, GS-07 or GS-09, if requirements are met.
Must meet English language proficiency and physical requirements.
Grandfathering provisions may affect promotion to higher grades.

Responsibilities

Serve as the medical nutrition expert in the Clinical Section of NFS.
Autonomously apply evidenced-based nutrition practice guidelines for all patients, including complex cases.
Assist in delivering patient care using the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) and monitor interventions.
