Southern New Hampshire Health in Manchester, NH, seeks a Clinical Dietitian to deliver oncology-focused nutrition care to adult outpatients. You will assess, plan, and document nutritional care and communicate recommendations to physicians, staff, and patients using EMR documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in nutrition and RD registration with NH. Experience with cancer patients and education programs is preferred, with opportunities to support group sessions and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or closely related field.
• Previous clinical experience with cancer patients preferred.
• RD registration with NH required and American Dietetic Association credentials.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments for adult oncology outpatients.

About the Job:

Evaluates, assesses, and plans clinical nutrition care specific to adult outpatients with cancer. Provides nutritional information to staff, physicians, students, and the community individually and through group programs.

What You’ll Do:

• Completes comprehensive nutrition assessments in accordance with licensure, scope of training and specialty and organizational standards

• Clearly communicates recommendations to the patient and clinical team through medical record documentation and other communication mechanisms

• Conducts patient and community education programs and support group presentations related to nutrition and cancer

• Researches and maintains knowledge base for latest developments in nutrition for oncology patients and for cancer prevention

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States, Required

  • Major course of study in human nutrition, nutrition education, food and nutrition, dietetics, public health nutrition, or food systems management

• Previous experience in a clinical setting with some cancer patients, Required

• Registration with the American Dietetic Association, and RD registration with the State of New Hampshire, Required

• Excellent clinical documentation, and successful usage of EMR systems, Preferred
