Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health is seeking a Clinical Dietitian for their Nutrition Department. This role is essential for providing personalized nutritional care to patients, working closely with healthcare teams to support medical goals.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, is license eligible, and has a strong understanding of food chemistry. Clinical Dietitians play a vital role as nutrition advocates, working closely with the healthcare team to deliver personalized, evidence‑based care that supports each patient’s medical goals.


Together with our Food Services team, they ensure every meal meets dietary needs while creating a comforting environment for all. Their collaboration reflects our commitment to patient‑centered care and overall well‑being.


About the Job

Provides nutritional care to patients through medical record review, clinical assessment, diet education, communication with nursing, physician and ancillary staff, and determines appropriateness of nutritional support and supplementation.


What You’ll Do


  • Completes nutrition screening within the established timeframe and conducts the nutrition assessment when warranted.

  • Maintains in‑depth knowledge of metabolism and nutrition in relation to specialized area of patient care.

  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of food chemistry and macro, micro‑nutrient composition for successful alteration of dietary program in a highly specialized population.

  • Participates as part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide integrated, patient‑focused care.

  • Exhibits knowledge of food production and service systems in relation to safe, nutritious food products for patients.


Who You Are


  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited program required; Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) accredited dietetic internship.

  • Must be license eligible.

    • Licensed in the state of New Hampshire within 90 days of hire.
