Job summary

The Elliot Health System is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to evaluate, assess, and plan nutrition care for adult outpatients with cancer at Elliot Hospital. You will provide nutrition information to staff, physicians, students, and the community both individually and through group programs.

Responsibilities include comprehensive nutrition assessments, clear documentation, patient education, and staying current with oncology nutrition research to support cancer prevention and care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field is required.
• Previous experience in a clinical setting with cancer patients is preferred.
• Registration with the American Dietetic Association and NH RD licensure.
• Excellent clinical documentation and experience with EMR systems preferred.

• Completes comprehensive nutrition assessments in accordance with licensure, scope of training and standards.
• Communicates recommendations to patient and clinical team through medical records and other channels.
• Conducts patient and community education programs and support group presentations related to nutrition and cancer.
• Researches and maintains knowledge base for latest oncology nutrition developments and cancer prevention.

About the Job:

Evaluates, assesses, and plans clinical nutrition care specific to adult outpatients with cancer. Provides nutritional information to staff, physicians, students, and the community individually and through group programs.

What You’ll Do:

• Completes comprehensive nutrition assessments in accordance with licensure, scope of training and specialty and organizational standards

• Clearly communicates recommendations to the patient and clinical team through medical record documentation and other communication mechanisms

• Conducts patient and community education programs and support group presentations related to nutrition and cancer

• Researches and maintains knowledge base for latest developments in nutrition for oncology patients and for cancer prevention

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States, Required

  • Major course of study in human nutrition, nutrition education, food and nutrition, dietetics, public health nutrition, or food systems management

• Previous experience in a clinical setting with some cancer patients, Required

• Registration with the American Dietetic Association, and RD registration with the State of New Hampshire, Required

• Excellent clinical documentation, and successful usage of EMR systems, Preferred
