Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Clinical Dietitian, you will assess patients' nutritional status and develop nutrition programs to improve or maintain health. You will serve as a consultant within the Food and Nutrition Department, making recommendations on menus, snacks, and nutritional provisions.

  • Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling for modified diets
  • Conduct nutritional screenings and assessments
  • Collaborate with physicians on nutritional recommendations
  • Identify and communicate medication-related nutritional implications and document in patient records
  • Assist Food Service Department staff with patient food selections based on prescribed diets
Qualifications Needed:
  • Experience with Meditech electronic charting (preferred)
  • 1 year of clinical nutrition experience in acute care (preferred)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with internship or approved program
  • Registered Dietitian (R.D.) credential or eligibility
  • Licensed Dietitian (L.D.) in Texas within 90 days of employment
  • Current ServSafe Food Handler Permit or equivalent (preferred)
