Job summary

Merit Medical Systems, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Training Specialist to deliver on-site and remote training for interventional cardiology and radiology products. You will lead clinical sessions, support trials, and act as a regional clinical resource for Merit’s product lines.

The role requires a clinical degree and several years of experience in procedural medical settings, with strong communication and coaching skills to develop staff and customers. Travel and field presence are expected.

Qualifications

• Education or business experience equivalent to a clinical degree in interventional cardiology or radiology procedures.
• Three years directly supporting interventional-based or vascular-related procedures.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Provides clinical training to various groups such as Sales Representatives, Tech Teams, Merit employees, Cath lab and Radiology staff, Insertion Site Care Clinicians and physicians on all Merit products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1. 1. Demonstrates mastery, competence, and expertise with all assigned products within the Interventional verticals and associated cardiac and interventional procedures.
2. 2. Leads in organizing and overseeing the on-site or remote clinical aspects of product related StatSeal account trials or conversions, including documenting and tracking of comments, opportunities and projects in CRM.
3. 3. Operates within the clinical applications team, acting as the main clinical resource for the assigned products in the assigned region, as well as a resource for other team members and providing assigned mentorship to peers.
4. 4. In-service, guide, and clinically support customers on new and existing products, training and in-servicing at accounts' locations ~50% of the time.
5. 5. Assist in the assessment of new product market research trials in the field (CPE's) and new product introductions.
6. 6. Provide ongoing product related instruction to customers and offer relevant product information.
7. 7. Address clinical inquiries from doctors, technicians, sales representatives, and other relevant parties.
8. 8. Integrate into the clinical and regional teams to become a value-add contributing member.
9. 9. Acts as clinical product related resource to customers and sales teams.
10. 10. Perform other duties and tasks, as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education and/or business experience equivalent to a Clinical Degree (RT/RN/PA/RCIS) in the interventional cardiology or radiology procedures-related field.
• Three years directly supporting interventional-based or vascular-related procedures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Five years of experience in procedural-based medical settings.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze feedback in a learning environment to develop strategies for improving knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Thorough understanding of coaching and development techniques, along with the ability to implement a corporate clinical or sales preparation program related to assigned Merit's products.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to comprehend complex issues.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate large-scale programs.
• Demonstrated computer skills, preferably in spreadsheets, word processing, database management, and other applicable software programs.
