Qualifications

• Proficiency with the ICD-10-CM coding system.
• Proficiency with the PCS coding system.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledgeable of health information systems and clinical management trends.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop inpatient and outpatient coding content for inpatient and outpatient products.
• Code/modify client records to simulate client environment with product use.
• Add/validate content with variations in documentation terminology.
• Validate/test content for inpatient and outpatient products.
• Utilize coding background to enhance client experience.
• Willing to work extra to complete assignments and meet deadlines.
• Deal with software concerns/problems using discretion and independent judgement.
• Offer alternative coding paths and keywords based on coding expertise.
