ideal candidates will have a strong auditing background, ICD-10-CM/PCS/CPT expertise, relevant certifications, and a proven eye for detail. Remote work with up to 10% travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of combined professional fee/facility auditing and/or ICD coding experience.
• Or eight years of related experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Three years of experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS.
• Current AAPC and/or AHIMA certification (e.g., CPC, CPMA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA).
• One year of ICD-10 training and proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly pro-fee and/or facility E/M, Surgery, IR/VIR coding audits for clients.
• Conduct retrospective audits on vendor coders and clients for QA.
• Deliver educational sessions to vendors and clients based on audit results.
• Ensure vendor and client compliance with official coding guidelines.
• Create audit reports and summaries for clients in accordance with policies.
• Maintain auditing schedules and support internal coding team.
