Job summary

Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center seeks a compassionate CSPRSS-Clinical to join our behavioral health team. This role blends direct clinical services, peer recovery support, and mentorship within a recovery-focused setting.

Responsibilities include therapy, assessments, treatment planning, documentation, and staff coaching to ensure quality care and adherence to standards. Collaboration across disciplines and community resource linkage are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field required.
• Active PRSS certification through WVCBAPP required.
• Minimum of three years of personal recovery experience required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in behavioral health or clinical services required.
• Active licensure or licensure eligibility preferred (LPC, LGSW, LICSW, or equivalent).
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches.
• Conduct clinical assessments, confirm diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Mentor and support PRSS staff through coaching and guidance.
• Review clinical and peer documentation for quality and compliance.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated care.
• Assist consumers in accessing community resources and recovery supports.
• Provide training and technical assistance to staff; uphold professional standards.
