Job summary

Northern Kentucky University (NKU) is seeking a full-time Clinical Coordinator and Assistant Teaching Professor to teach in the Master of Science in Cardiovascular Perfusion program. The role includes overseeing clinical aspects, developing relationships with clinical partners, and supporting the program director to deliver high-quality perfusion education.

The ideal candidate will be a perfusionist with a strong science and research background and teaching experience across the curriculum,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in perfusion or related sciences.
• Minimum of five years of professional experience as a perfusionist.
• Minimum of three years pedagogical teaching experience in science courses within an academic setting.
• Highly developed interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to create and maintain collegial relationships with internal and external team members.

Responsibilities

• Teach face-to-face courses in the program; some online coursework may occur.
• Engage in student recruitment, selection, guidance, instruction, and evaluation.
• Support the program director in planning, implementation, and evaluation of the program outcomes.
• Assist the program director in course development.
• Participate in the community advisory committee and other service activities across multiple levels.
• Help align the program with the University’s priorities for retention, graduation and student success.
• Coordinate communication with clinical sites and preceptors to manage clinical contracts.
• Participate in committee and service activities across program, school, college and university levels.
• Recruit and maintain clinical sites and preceptors; establish relationships with site staff.
