Mercy seeks a Clinical Coordinator to lead nursing care on the unit, directing RNs, LPNs, students and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
The role ensures regulatory compliance, participates in staff education and performance evaluations, and handles administrative duties as assigned by the Unit Director.

Find your calling at Mercy! The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for professional nursing care for patients and their families by direction, supervision and example. Provides direction to Registered Nurses, Licensed practical Nurses, students and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care. Responsible for operation of the Unit ensuring that all regulatory requirements and standards are being fulfilled. Participates in the education and development of personnel and performance evaluation as well as other administrative duties as designated by the Director of the unit. Must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, be dedicated to the provision of quality patient care and use sound judgment in decision making. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
At least 2 years of experience in charge/clinical coordinator setting.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
At least 2 years of experience.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Basic computer knowledge.
Organizing and coordinating skills.
Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
Advanced assessment skills.
