Wood River Health is hiring a Clinical Coordinator - Medical Assistant in Hope Valley, RI. The role combines supervisory duties with direct patient care as a Medical Assistant. You will oversee Medical Assistants, maintain staffing, and support efficient clinic operations and regulatory compliance.

The position entails 50% administrative leadership and 50% clinical MA work, with a strong focus on quality, patient care, and teamwork across locations. Full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related field is preferred.
• 5 years’ clinical medical assistant experience is required.
• Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of referral processes and insurance—preferred.
• Electronic Health Record experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and mentor Medical Assistants and staff; manage schedules and attendance.
• Direct patient care as a Medical Assistant as needed.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels for uninterrupted patient care.
• Assist with patient encounter cycle processes and pre-visit planning.
• Track ongoing education and maintain certifications as required.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.
• Verify and approve time sheets for payroll.
• Develop tracking for in-service training activities.
