Qualifikationen

• Associates degree in related field (preferred)
• Medical assisting certification or diploma (preferred)
• CPR Certification required
• Experience as Clinical Medical Assistant with supervisory responsibility
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems
• Proficiency in MS Office and email/internet
• Cultural sensitivity for diverse patient populations
• Knowledge of referral processes and insurance considerations

Aufgaben

• Participates in direct patient care as a Medical Assistant
• Supervises attendance and training of Medical Assistants
• Ensures appropriate staffing for uninterrupted patient care
• Develops efficient patient encounter and Pre-visit planning processes
• Tracks ongoing education and maintains certifications
• Coaches and mentors staff; conducts performance reviews
• Approves time sheets for payroll
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and patient privacy
• Collaborates with leadership to improve quality indicators
• Represents Wood River Health at community events
