Job summary

Saint Peters is seeking a Clinical Coordinator for Adult Communities. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate geriatric resident activities, in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, while coordinating with security and administration to ensure optimal patient care across the life cycle in geriatrics.

They will orient staff and support ongoing development and quality improvement. Requirements include NJ RN licensure, BLS, and 3+ years in a specialty; BSN preferred and certification

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey.
• BSN preferred, must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a specialty.
• BLS certification required by AHA standards.
• Geriatric Resource Nurse certification within three years.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident activities for geriatrics in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
• Report significant emergencies, incidents and personnel problems.
• Coordinate with Hospital Security and Community Administration to ensure optimal patient care for geriatrics.
• Orient new or float staff to units.
• Assist Nurse Manager with staff growth and development planning.
• Maintain knowledge and contribute to Nursing Quality Improvement on shifts.
• Ensure procedures meet established standards and align with NJ Board of Nursing and ANA guidelines.

The Clinical Coordinator Adult Communities will:

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident activities considering growth and development factors appropriate to the age (Geriatrics) in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
• Report any significant emergencies, any incidents and/or personnel problems.
• Interact with all Hospital Security, Community Administration to initiate, coordinate and maintain optimum patient care as appropriate to the ages of the patient’s growth and development through the life cycle factors (Geriatrics).
• Be Responsible for Unit orientation of new employees and/or float employees.
• Assist the Nurse Manager in planning for and implementing mechanisms to growth and development of staff.
• Maintain knowledge of and is responsible for Nursing Quality Improvement on assigned shift.
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established standards; demonstrate competency in performing all procedures within scope of practice, in accordance with the requirements of the NJ Board of Nursing, current regulatory guidelines, the ANA Code of Ethics and institutional policies and procedures as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Geriatrics) and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
• Ensure that the Nursing Environment and the Staff support the contractual relationship between Saint Peter's and the Community Association.

Requirements:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• BSN preferred, must be obtained within 3 years of hire
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in specialty preferred
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• Attain Geriatric Resource Nurse certification within three (3) years

Salary Range: 39.31 - 62.90 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
