Responsibilities

• Provide coordination of resources and activities.
• Interact with all Hospital Departments to initiate, coordinate and maintain optimum patient care appropriate to the patient’s age and development (Adults, Geriatrics).
• Actively promote customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established standards; demonstrate competency in performing all procedures within scope of practice, in accordance with the requirements of the NJ Board of Nursing, current regulatory guidelines, the ANA Code of Ethics and institutional policies and procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care activities considering growth and development factors appropriate to the age in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
• Report any significant changes in the condition of the Unit, any incidents and/or personnel problems.
• Be responsible for unit orientation of new employees and/or float/agency employees.
• Assist the Nurse Manager in planning for and implementing mechanisms to encourage growth and development of staff.
• Maintain knowledge of and be responsible for Nursing Quality Improvement activities on the assigned shift.
• Provide other essential functions as directed by the manager.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in specialty preferred.
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification obtained during clinical orientation.
• ECG course completed during clinical orientation.
• Critical Care course within 6 months of hire.

Salary

Salary Range: 50.30 - 80.48 USD (exempt positions reflect full‑time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status).
