Job summary

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia (CCP) is seeking a full-time Clinical Coordinator for our Springfield, PA office to optimize imaging scheduling and coordinate patient care. Responsibilities include maximizing capacity, reviewing schedules, and ensuring appointments align with insurance and physician orders.

The role requires medical office experience, familiarity with insurance plans, strong organization and communication, and proficiency with computers; EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily scheduling optimization to maximize imaging capacity and ensure orders are scheduled correctly based on insurance and physician orders.
• Review future schedules to free up slots and maximize arrivals for current schedules.
• Review admin hold reports to ensure orders have a scheduled appointment or scheduling outreach documented.
• Learn clinical and clerical imaging process details to assist patients throughout scheduling and scanning.
• Assess and resolve/escalate patient issues that delay studies.
• Send interval reminders to patients prior to appointments to ensure preparation and reduce no-shows.
• Improve arrival rates for imaging schedules by handling cancellations or rescheduling and offering alternatives.
• Understand insurance prior authorization processes and provide additional duties as required by site volume.

CCP specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care and currently has over 30 locations throughout the Philadelphia region. We are currently hiring for a full-time Clinical Coordinator to work at our Springfield, PA office.

Please note this role is entitled to a $500.00 sign-on bonus.*

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily scheduling optimization protocols to ensure imaging schedules are at the highest capacity level possible at all times and imaging orders are scheduled correctly based on insurance approval and physician ordering.
• Frequent review of future schedules for opportunities to bump up appointments in order to free up future slots and ensure highest capacity of arrivals for current schedules as possible.
• Daily review of admin hold reports to ensure all orders have a corresponding appointment scheduled or scheduling outreach documentation to patients.
• Develop a thorough understanding of both clinical and clerical imaging process details, preparations and testing overview to become a resource for patients throughout the scheduling and scanning process.
• Assess and resolve/escalate patient issues that would delay studies
• Complete interval reminders to patients prior to appointment to ensure preparation compliance and prevent no shows.
• Improve the arrival rates for imaging schedules by handling all cancellation or rescheduling requests and offering alternatives to our patients to guarantee arrival including:
• Maintain an understanding of the insurance prior authorization process
• Additional duties as required based on the site's volume and structure

Requirements:

• Must have experience in a medical office setting
• Must have knowledge of different insurance plans
• Must have the ability to multitask and be organized
• Computer knowledge is a must
• Experience with an EMR system is a plus
• Must be well-spoken, friendly, and outgoing

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia provides medical, vision, dental, 401k, profit sharing, LTD, generous PTO, and paid holiday time.

*If you are hired, and assuming your employment is in good standing, you will receive the sign-on bonus. The bonus will be paid to you no later than 30 days following your start date. In the event that you voluntarily terminate your employment or the Company terminates your employment for cause within 6 months of your date of hire, you will be required to repay the full amount of your sign-on bonus.
