SALARY RANGE: $52,000 to $60,000 annually

Under the direction of the Department Chairperson / Director, serve as Clinical Coordinator for all patient functions associated with the clinics as well as supervision of clinical staff. Supervisory responsibility will include scheduling of staff assignments, approval of time off or schedule changes, performance reviews, disciplinary action, and training for both current and new employees. Clinical responsibilities will include serving as the primary point of contact for patient concerns, questions, and care-related issues, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution; identifying and addressing patient non-compliance with treatment recommendations, appointment requirements, or practice policies, escalating concerns to the orthodontist; coordinating the patient dismissal process when continued non-compliance or other circumstances warrant discontinuation of care, in accordance with practice policies and provider direction; serving as a liaison between patients, families, orthodontists, and the clinical team to support effective communication and a positive patient experience. In addition, the Clinical Coordinator will be reviewing treatment plans and financial records and determining payment status of each patient and communicating the status to the patients, residents and faculty; prepare weekly reports on procedures completed in the clinic and payment status; manages all information using electronic health record system of the school; review needs for instruments and materials and order items as necessary; ensure that all resources are efficiently used; and report on status of inventory on monthly basis to the Chair/Director; and interface with faculty on course of action bases up on collected data. Finally, as needed assist with front desk functions of the clinic including answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, performing billing functions, verification of insurance, preparation of fee slips receipts, and maintaining patient records. Perform other duties as assigned.
