Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry seeks a Lead Dental Assistant/Coordinator to support residents, faculty, and students in the main clinic and a North Philadelphia location. Responsibilities include 4-handed dentistry, patient intake, and ensuring infection control protocols.

The role also covers front desk activities, insurance verifications, scheduling in Axium, and handling billing tasks. Strong attention to detail and patient service are essential in a dynamic academic clinic

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Dental Radiology Certification from PA.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize and maintain dental equipment and instruments.
• Take and process digital x-rays and upload to Axium.
• Front desk duties: greet, schedule, verify insurance and post payments.
• Assist with routine and complex surgical procedures as 4-handed dentistry.
• Maintain infection control logs and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate ordering of supplies and equipment maintenance.
