Job summary

fingerlakes is seeking a registered nurse to lead and enhance nursing systems in our unit, improving clinical care and customer service in a patient-centered environment.

The role requires NY RN licensure, active BLS/PALS/ENPC, and 1+ year LTC or Med-Surg leadership experience, with strong confidentiality and teamwork skills expected.

Qualifications

• RN license in NY required.
• Graduate from an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
• BLS, PALS, ENPC required through the RQI system during orientation.
• Minimum one year LTC or Med-Surg leadership experience.
• Ability to handle confidential information and work with the public professionally.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager/designee establishes, maintains and enhances systems within the unit to achieve positive outcomes. This includes planning, initiation and evaluation of all aspects of Clinical issues, nursing practice and customer service

naEDUCATION:

• Minimum: Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program.
• Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing and/or certification in individual specialty.

LICENSE:

• Minimum: Current NYS License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

• Minimum: BLS, PALS, and ENPC required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum: One year LTC experience
• Preferred: Two or more years LTC experience

SKILLS:

• Minimum: One year of Med-Surg experience or LTC Charge Nurse experience.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
• Computer literacy required
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Power Point.
