Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Phone Operator Specialist to manage switchboard duties, triage calls, relay messages, and serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff. The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities include answering calls, routing to extensions, taking messages, and supporting clerical tasks to ensure smooth department operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Minimum six months experience in a call center environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls courteously and connect to the correct extension.
• Take and relay messages accurately and promptly.
• Respond to emergency and urgent calls and direct to clinical staff as needed.
• Perform operator functions including triaging calls, transferring calls, setting up conference calls, and reporting issues with telephone equipment.
• Provide a pleasant and helpful phone contact for callers.
• Perform clerical duties to maintain department workflow.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
