Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Audit & Onboarding Specialist to plan, coordinate, and complete complex documentation, coding, and billing reviews. You will serve as a liaison between the CBO and clinical departments, guiding coders and providers, and ensuring compliant onboarding for physicians.

The role requires seven years of progressive coding experience, CPC/CPC-H/CCS certifications, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

: Seven years of progressive multi-specialty professional coding experience.
: High School diploma or equivalent education (GED or similar)
: Must have one of the following credentials: CPC, CPC-H, CPC-I, CCS, or CCS-P.

Responsibilities

Onboards new clinical practitioners to ensure documentation and coding are appropriate for all services.
Reviews coding accuracy and provides results to coding supervisors.
Provides ongoing documentation, coding, and billing education to employees.
Collaborates with the CBO to communicate audit results and deliver a list of exceptions needing corrective action.
Provides quality assurance, direction and guidance to departments.
Delivers training materials for physician/staff education and monitors progress for compliance.
Ensures HIPAA compliance and protection of private health information.
Assists in writing policies and procedures addressing billing compliance and documentation.
