Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group seeks an Audit & Onboarding Specialist to oversee complex documentation, coding and billing reviews. You will coordinate with the Centralized Business Office and guide clinical providers and coders to ensure compliant onboarding and ongoing education.

Key duties include onboarding new practitioners, auditing coding accuracy, and delivering education on documentation standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Seven years of progressive multi-specialty professional coding experience.
• Must have one of CPC, CPC-H, CPC-I, CCS or CCS-P credentials.
• Knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPCS and PATH guidelines; strong regulatory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Onboards new clinical practitioners, ensuring documentation and coding accuracy for all services.
• Reviews coding accuracy and provides results to the coding supervisor.
• Provides ongoing documentation, coding, and billing education to employees as needed.
• Collaborates with the CBO to communicate audit results and delivers a list of exceptions needing corrective action.
• Provides quality assurance, direction and guidance to departments.
