Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group seeks an Audit & Onboarding Specialist to plan, coordinate and complete complex documentation, coding and billing reviews for clinical services.

The role serves as a liaison between the Centralized Business Office and clinical departments, guiding coders and providers, and ensuring physician onboarding for compliance in documentation and coding.

Qualifications

• Seven years of progressive multi-specialty professional coding experience.
• Must have one of the following CPC/CPC-H/CPC-I/CCS/CCS-P certifications.
• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Onboards new clinical practitioners to ensure proper documentation and coding.
• Reviews coding accuracy and reports results to the coding supervisor(s).
• Provides ongoing documentation, coding, and billing education to employees.
• Collaborates with the CBO to communicate audit results and action items.
