Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Egg Harbor Township Cardiology department. The part-time position focuses on patient intake, specimen collection, and assisting physicians with exams in an ambulatory setting.

The role involves phlebotomy, CLIA waived testing, and telehealth intake support through the Virtualist Program. BLS is excluded for this program, with RN supervision as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program required.
• Certification in Phlebotomy preferred; BLS within six months of hire.
• Active national certification maintained per NJ requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take patient interviews, collect specimens and support exams.
• Assist physician with patient exams and procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy for diagnostics and some testing.
• Participate in the Virtualist telehealth intakes program.
