Job Profile Summary

This role provides professional and nonprofessional nursing care services according to physician orders. It focuses on basic patient care, working under the supervision of physicians, mid-level practitioners, and registered nurses depending on the unit. The role requires vocational education, training, and experience, with moderate supervision and routine problem-solving.

Job Overview

The Clinical Care Technician assists in direct patient care, environmental support, and patient safety, collaborating with professional nurses to meet patient needs within the scope of the role. It involves completing role-specific competencies and supporting a patient and family-centered care environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CNA or Medical Assistant certification.
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals in an accredited program.
• At least one year of related experience as a Nursing Assistant, PCA, CCT, or PCT.
• Experience in acute care settings.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist registered nurses with patient care, including activities of daily living, patient monitoring, specimen collection, equipment management, and safety procedures. Additional responsibilities include patient transportation, comfort measures, preparing for procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to 30-35 lbs, prolonged standing, walking, and other physical activities.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity for procedures and computer use.

Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency in medical terminology, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and provide age-appropriate care.
