Job Profile Summary

It is most commonly applied to patient care and scientific/laboratory jobs, requiring basic knowledge of procedures and tools, and works under moderate supervision, addressing routine problems and occasionally interpreting or deviating from standard procedures.

Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA).
  2. Completion of Nursing Fundamentals in an accredited Nursing program.
  3. At least one year of related experience as a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, Critical Care Tech, or Patient Care Tech.
  4. Experience in acute care settings.
Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include assisting registered nurses with patient care, supporting activities of daily living, responding to patient and family requests, collecting and communicating clinical data, preparing rooms, transporting patients, providing comfort measures, assisting with mobility, setting up procedures, maintaining equipment, performing wound care, conducting EKGs, monitoring patients, managing patient belongings, and other duties as assigned. All activities must adhere to safety and procedural standards.

Physical Requirements:
  1. Lifting up to 30-35 lbs, prolonged standing and walking, occasional twisting, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, sitting, kneeling, and squatting.
  2. Manual dexterity for procedures and computer use.
  3. Ability to see computer screens and reports.
Skills & Abilities:
  1. Ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology.
  2. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  3. Ability to handle detailed, confidential information.
  4. Computer proficiency.
  5. Knowledge to provide age-appropriate care.
