This position involves working 36 hours per week on a day/night rotation, including rotating weekends and holidays.
This role provides professional and non-professional nursing care services in accordance with physician orders. It involves performing nursing support duties such as basic patient care, under the supervision of physicians, mid-level practitioners, and registered nurses, depending on the unit. The role requires specialized knowledge or skills gained through vocational education, training, and experience. It is most commonly applied to patient care and scientific/laboratory jobs, requiring basic knowledge of procedures and tools, and works under moderate supervision, addressing routine problems and occasionally interpreting or deviating from standard procedures.
The Clinical Care Technician collaborates with professional nurses to meet patient needs within the scope of the role. Responsibilities include assisting in direct patient care, providing environmental support, and ensuring patient safety. The role requires completing and maintaining competency in specific skills and supporting a patient and family-centered care environment.
Responsibilities include assisting registered nurses with patient care, supporting activities of daily living, responding to patient and family requests, collecting and communicating clinical data, preparing rooms, transporting patients, providing comfort measures, assisting with mobility, setting up procedures, maintaining equipment, performing wound care, conducting EKGs, monitoring patients, managing patient belongings, and other duties as assigned. All activities must adhere to safety and procedural standards.
