Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a qualified healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures at our Indiana donation center. You will interview donors, review medical histories, and determine eligibility to donate plasma in collaboration with the Center Medical Director.

Graduation from paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic training is required, with licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic training program.
• Foreign medical grads must be licensed as a physician or state certified EMT.
• For NY: current state RN/MD/DO licensure or reciprocal state.
• Minimum of one year relevant healthcare experience.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.
• Ability to perform and analyze physical assessments (heart/lung sounds, signs of drug use).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Interview donors and review medical history to determine donation suitability.
• Collaborate with Center Medical Director on donor questions about suitability.
• Review test results to assess continued donor suitability.
• Notifies and counsels donors on reactive test results and referrals.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical cases as required.
