Job summary

SEARHC is seeking a Clinical Assistant 2 to support a rural ambulatory care clinic. The role includes clinical tasks beyond CA1, data entry, rooming patients, POCT, and assisting with minor procedures while maintaining clinic flow.

Minimum qualifications include CMA certification, an active BLS card, and a high school diploma or GED. The position offers benefits and the opportunity for professional advancement within SEARHC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Clinical Competency within 3 months of hire and every 3 years required.

Responsibilities

• Performs Clinical Assistant 1 duties with additional experience and judgment.
• Prepares for patient visits by reviewing charts and needed forms.
• Obtains and records age-appropriate vital signs per protocol.
• Obtains medical history updates and medication history.
• Collects and documents information in patient charts; maintains records.
• Assists with procedures, minor surgeries, POCT, nebulizer treatments, and cast removal.
• Maintains exam rooms, equipment, and infection control; stocks supplies.
