Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Clinical Care Attendant (CMA) for Ankeny Express Care in Ankeny, IA. The role supports providers with clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced outpatient setting, including patient intake, vital signs, and point-of-care testing.

Works Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM, 3 days a week with weekend rotation. Qualified candidates hold CMA certification and be graduates of an accredited CMA program.

Qualifications

• Current CMA certification or registration.
• Certified Medical Assistant: Graduate of an accredited program (certificate/diploma/associate).
• Clinical experience preferred; Epic experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, and room patients; collect vital signs and history.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures and point-of-care testing.
• Provide patient education and post-visit instructions; follow-up calls.
• Maintain exam rooms and clinic logs per protocol.
• Communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies, and staff.
• Ensure HIPAA/ OSHA/ CLIA compliance and safety standards.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and quality initiatives.
• Perform additional duties to support clinic operations.
