Responsibilities

Performs medical assisting duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy and routine procedures.
Ensures patient care areas are clean, stocked and ready for use.
Escort patients to radiology and labs as needed.
Monitors equipment and supplies; maintains expiration dates.
Review medication lists in EMR for licensed provider review.
Queue prescription renewals in EMR; document tasks for billing.
Schedule diagnostic and lab tests; verify insurance and authorizations.
Prepare charts, documents and correspondence for clinical activities.
