Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers.
• Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
• MA, EMT, CNA, LNA certificate or diploma; or at least 5 months of direct patient care experience in a clinical or research setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical assisting duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy and helping during routine procedures.
• Keep patient care areas clean, organized, and stocked for patient use.
• Escort patients to radiology and lab as needed.
• Perform point of care testing and specimen collection.
• Document tasks in EMR for proper billing and clinician review.
• Assist with scheduling and patient charts as needed.
