Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience preferred with the ability to relate to patients, family, nursing and medical staff.
• Unit-based recognition for Capillary Blood Glucose Monitoring.
• Annual Health and Safety Training quizzes with 90% accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure) for adults and neonates.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens as directed.
• Provide newborn care and support feeding, baths, and daily hygiene.
• Support RN with post-operative care and safety, transport patients when needed.
• Respond to patient call lights and emergencies; document observations for RN review.
