Job summary

National Jewish Health seeks a qualified supervisor to oversee and perform cardiopulmonary stress testing, ensuring high-quality exams per ACSM/ACC/AHA guidelines. This role includes thorough documentation, patient screening, and active participation in quality improvements.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology (Master’s preferred), 2 years clinical experience, and licensure training such as BLS/ACLS and ACSM-CEP within 6 months of hire. NA

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Work Experience: 2 years experience as an exercise physiologist in a clinical setting preferred.
• Special Training/Licensure: BLS required, ACLS required, ASCM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP) required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and performs high quality cardiopulmonary stress testing to assist the physician in the diagnosis of cardiopulmonary conditions in accordance with ACSM and ACC/AHA standards.
• Prepares and completes all required documentation in a thorough and accurate manner.
• Performs thorough patient screening and appropriately reports any patient safety issues.
• Participates in quality improvements processes on an on-going basis.
• Keeps up to date and current with recommended guidelines from the ACSM and ACC/AHA and ATS to assure safe, high quality patient exams.
• Provides guidance to less experienced staff to assure high quality exams on all patients.
