Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a highly qualified professional to supervise inpatient and outpatient stress testing and assess the cardiovascular impact of exercise on high‑risk patients. You will collaborate with physicians to ensure quality diagnostic tests and patient safety while guiding staff and students.

The role requires a Master’s in Exercise Science/Physiology, strong cardiac knowledge, and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Exercise Science/Physiology.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac A&P and hemodynamic response to exercise.
• Ability to develop individualized exercise prescriptions for cardiac/pulmonary/vascular patients.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required or to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate stress exercise protocol based on medical history and test indications.
• Recognize indications and contraindications for stress testing/intervention.
• Communicate with physicians about test type or condition changes.
• Prepare patient for testing with explanation and proper lead placement.
• Supervise stress testing using treadmill, nuclear, pharmacologic, or echo modalities.
• Evaluate patient responses and end-points during testing.
• Document testing data for final physician interpretation.
• Provide education on exercise, health and lifestyle modification.
• Assist onboarding of new employees and students.
