Job summary

The RN, Exercise Cardiac Stress Tester at Saint Joseph Health System actively participates in patient flow through the Cardio Diagnostics department. You will screen patients before exercise testing to determine appropriateness of non-physician supervision, and you will supervise and administer stress tests under physician supervision.

Requirements include RN license in Indiana, BLS and ACLS certification, and at least two years bedside or surgical recovery experience; EKG experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• RN Indiana License.
• Certified in Basic Life Support and ACLS Certification.
• At least 2 years bedside experience or experience in surgical recovery; EKG experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients before exercise testing to determine appropriateness of non-physician supervision of stress testing.
• Supervise and administer stress tests on appropriate patients under physician supervision.
• Coordinate EKG team activities, EKGs, reconciliation and quality reports as directed by Lead/Supervisor.
